These Terms of Service (the "Agreement") govern your access to and use of SliceClips (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility & Accounts
- You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EEA) to use SliceClips.
- You are responsible for the security of your credentials and for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate information and keep it current.
2. Plans & Billing
- Free and paid plans are offered; features and limits are described on our pricing page.
- Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled from your account.
- Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
- Applicable taxes may be added at checkout.
3. Your Content
You retain all rights to the videos, transcripts, and clips you upload or generate ("Your Content"). You grant SliceClips a limited, worldwide license to store, process, transcode, and display Your Content solely to operate the Service for you.
You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to Your Content and that our processing of it will not violate the rights of any third party or any law.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use SliceClips to:
- Upload content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or that depicts CSAM or non-consensual intimate imagery.
- Generate deepfakes intended to deceive, harass, defraud, or impersonate a real person without consent.
- Distribute malware, or attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or circumvent the Service.
- Scrape or resell the Service, or exceed documented rate limits.
- Violate the terms of any third-party platform when publishing clips (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or termination without refund.
5. AI Features
SliceClips uses machine-learning models for transcription, clip scoring, virality analysis, B-roll suggestions, and video generation. AI output can be inaccurate or offensive; you are responsible for reviewing it before publishing. Outputs are not guaranteed to be original or free of similarity to other works.
6. Third-Party Services
Integrations with TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Pexels, and other services are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party outages, policy changes, or account actions taken by those platforms.
7. Intellectual Property
The SliceClips brand, logo, software, UI, and documentation are our property or licensed to us. Except for the limited right to use the Service, no rights are granted to you.
8. Termination
You may cancel any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that create legal or security risk. On termination, your access ends; Your Content is deleted after a short retention window.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT ANY CLIP WILL GO VIRAL OR ACHIEVE ANY PARTICULAR RESULT.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SLICECLIPS AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) USD $100.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold SliceClips harmless from claims arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
12. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction and venue.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
